Leccina
Out of all the trees that we planted fifteen years ago the variety that has best adapted to and benefited from the areas unique micro climate has undoubtedly been the “Leccina”.
According to the evidence provided by a well respected “panel test”, the most well balanced olive oil was the “Leccina”. In terms of its taste and its wonderful flavour and even as a “novello” (very new/ from the very first harvest) this monocultivated olive oil is rich and particularly satisfying.
It is handsomely green in colour and strong in both flavour and aroma and makes a great accompaniment to vegetable soups and pulses such as chick peas and lentils.
